Emotion Dolls Tutorial
We've all been there: Trying to leave the park to get home for dinner while managing an epic, public meltdown. Hosting a playdate, only to have your child be unwilling to share any of their toys. It happens and it's normal.
Labelling and discussing emotions, better prepares children to regulate their strong feelings when the time comes. This is a skill that can be built through connection and with the support of an adult. Then when we reach a moment of high stress, everyone is better equipped to work through the situation.
Emotion dolls are a tool to foster this skill and also provide the opportunity for daily discussions or reflections.
