Organizing a name scavenger hunt is a fun way to teach your child their full name while practicing letter sounds.

What you will need:

• The Active Reader Early Reader Pack
• Post-it notes
• Marker

Spell your child's name out using your active reader cards and write each individual letter on post-it notes. Hide the post-it's all around the house for your child to fined. On your signal, send them around the house to find the letters. 

When they return with a letter, ask them to match it with the proper card, then practice the letter sound together: u - up - /u/

Once they have found all of the letters, practice blending them together to say their whole name.
